Alcoholic beverages are permitted inside the Spring Creek Education Building and Barn only; renters must obtain an alcohol permit from the Nature Center. Please see the full Alcohol Policy for permit fees and requirements.
All proposed activities must conform to the lease agreement with Penn State, the ClearWater Conservation Easement, College Township ordinances, CRPR Authority regulations, and agreements with Nature Center partner groups. View the Tent Policy.
For special events, events open to the public, fundraisers, and groups that expect more than 66 people (excluding weddings), a special request must be submitted at least 60 days in advance. You may be required to meet with a staff member to discuss the specifics of your event and extra considerations such as parking. Non-family rentals, large groups, and weddings must provide proof of liability insurance with a minimum general liability policy of $1,000,000 each occurrence. The Certificate of Insurance must list Centre Region Parks & Recreation Authority and the Pennsylvania State University as additional insured. If the rental is approved for an alcohol permit, the Certificate of Insurance must include host liquor liability as well as the two additional insured. Certificates of Insurance must be provided to Millbrook Marsh at least 10 days prior to the rental date.
