Park Project Updates:

  • Whitehall Road Regional Park Phase I Construction
The park is currently closed and under construction. Please do NOT enter the park for any reason. Signs are posted at the entrance and at the playground to warn visitors that it is still a construction site. Contractors are responsible for addressing and correcting final work tasks. We appreciate your patience as we bring this beautiful park to life very soon! Police will continue to patrol the area while it is not open to the public. Video surveillance is posted on-site. Once we're comfortable announcing an opening date, we will post it here and on our social media pages. To learn more, visit this link
  • Millbrook Marsh Nature Center Spring Creek Education Building Phase II Expansion & Diane Kerly Welcome Pavilion/Restrooms
The Phase II expansion of the Spring Creek Education Building and the new Diane Kerly Welcome Pavilion are being constructed. Those buildings are currently closed until construction is complete. The anticipated completion is the spring of 2024. Opening is dependent on job completion and readiness of staff. To learn more, visit this link.
  • Millbrook Marsh Nature Center Boardwalk

One large section of the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center boardwalk trail system remains closed at this time. The Boardwalk areas that were in need of minor repairs were fixed and reopened. For visitor safety and the health of the ecosystem, it is imperative for visitors to only explore the open sections of the boardwalk and grass trails, and to not create any new access points into the area. Additionally, the Agency and Elected Officials have reviewed the Boardwalk Feasibility Study Phase II Report and are discussing a Capital Campaign and next steps.
