Facility Rentals

The Centre Region Active Adult Center offers a welcoming, accessible space for gatherings, meetings, and special occasions. Rental opportunities are available for community groups, organizations, and private events seeking a comfortable community setting.

The Active Adult Center primarily serves adults ages 55 and over and is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM, offering a variety of programs such as specialty clubs, line dancing, health screenings, and daily hot meals. To ensure these programs can take place without disruption, rentals are not accepted during regular operating hours.

A limited number of rental opportunities are available and may include use of the Fitness Room, Movie/Game Room, or Large Community Room with kitchen access. Most rentals are scheduled during evenings and weekends, and all requests are reviewed based on space availability.

Rental Spaces and Fees

• Fitness Room: $70R / $105 NR for a 2-hour rental + $35 each additional hour
• Movie/Game Room: $64R / $96 NR for a 2-hour rental + $32 each additional hour
• Large Community Room Area: $110R / $165 NR for a 2-hour rental + $55 each additional hour
• Large Community Room/Movie/Game Room Area with Kitchen: $120R / $180 NR for a 2-hour rental + $60 each additional hour
• Projector and use of either small or large projection screens: $20 per event
• Bluetooth Podium: $15 per event
• Sonos Surround System (Smart phone required to use system): $15 per event

A $25 deposit is required for use of equipment (i.e. projector, projector screen, bluetooth podium, surround sound system). As long as the equipment has remained in good condition, the deposit will be returned.

Active Adult Center Additional Rental Guidelines 

All rentals must be within operational guidelines set by the Nittany Mall’s operational hours. Because operational hours can change, Active Adult Center staff will review rental requests at the time of booking.

Rental application must be submitted at least two weeks in advance and will be considered based on availability. Active Adult Center activities take precedence and second priority is given to CRPR general programming before third-party rentals will be considered.

Proof of Liability Insurance must be submitted prior to all non-family rentals. The Certificate of Insurance should list the Centre Region Parks and Recreation Authority and Nittany Mall as additional insured.

The rental applicant must receive a facility tour and training from the Active Adult Center Staff on various operations, locking procedures, and kitchen specifics at least 24 hours prior to rental. 

Active Adult Center Trips

The refund deadline for trips is set for 14 days before the scheduled trip. With respect to withdrawals and cancellations:

Full refunds will be provided to registrants for trips that are cancelled or withdrawn by the agency or the tour company.

For registrants, a full refund or credit, less a $5 service fee, will be provided to trip registrants who provide notice to the Active Adult Center Office no less than 14 calendar days before the trip. No refund or credit can be provided less than 14 calendar days before a trip. However, that person may transfer their space and payment to another individual. It shall not be the responsibility of the staff to facilitate these transfers.
