Enjoy the great outdoors with a moderate hike in and around beautiful Centre County and beyond!
Studies show that spending time in nature boosts energy, improves immune function, concentration and mood, increases vitamin D and reduces stress. Hiking is beneficial to Active Adults and improves heart health, reduces muscle loss, keeps your body flexible and increases balance while preventing falls. It also provides the physically-distanced socialization that we all need.
In the Centre Region we are fortunate to have so many natural spaces to enjoy, from local park trails and regional biking paths to multiple state forests and state parks just outside of State College. Join the Active Adult Hiking Group for weekly hikes in and around the Center Region to explore the beautiful trails this area has to offer!
The Hiking Group meets on Tuesdays behind the Bagel Crust on Westerly Parkway.
