Disc Golf

Disc Golf

Centre Region Parks and Recreation maintains two of the four disc golf courses in the area, and provides usually a Spring and a Fall learn-to-play Disc Golf Clinic. Typically, these are held at the Circleville Park 9-hole Disc Golf Course (DGC). These special events are posted on our Events Calendar and are published in our Active Guides.

For the clinics, participants do not need anything. CRPR provides educational discs and folks learn to putt and throw mid- and long-distance shots.

Disc Golf Learn-To-Play Clinics

Typically, the Agency holds a disc clinic or clinics in early summer.  Instructors are from the local Centre County Disc Golf Association (CCDGA). Each player receives a multi-use disc. Families may participate as well as individuals.  Watch for that info. to be posted here or within our Summer Active Guide.

Additionally, the CCDGA organizes most of the area’s leagues and tournaments, and works with the Agency on certain events hosted within the parks like the Fall Glow Golf Series. Be sure to visit their website and their social media pages; their members are very active and play year-round.
