Calling all young entrepreneurs ages 8-12; test your skills at our Kid's Yard Sale. This event, open to the public, gives kids the opportunity to set up a table with goods they wish to sell. The best part, kids keep their profits!   Space is limited.

Horseback Riding Lessons @ Encore Farms, Centre Hall (for ages 8-18)

Located on over 15 acres, Encore Farms offers riders an indoor and outdoor arena & trails. Lessons provide an intro to horsemanship and prepares children age 8-18 to handle, groom, and tack a horse, along with basic riding skills including warm-up, cool-down, walk and trot. Intermediate and advanced lessons include further skills. Participants are required to wear long pants and boots with a heel or sneakers and sign a liability release form. Helmets are provided. Growing the Game...Locally!
Join Penn State Basketball & Centre Region Parks and Recreation for the pilot year for this Summer Youth Basketball League for boys & girls FINISHING 3rd - 6th grades. The League will consist of four leagues:

3 & 4th Grade Girls     Program #63201 3 & 4th Grade Boys Program #63202
5 & 6th Grade Girls    Program #63203 5 & 6th Grade Boys Program#63204
FEE: $30R / $45N per person.

Season: June 1 - July 27

Games: Wednesdays, starting June 8th (weather-permitting) at Circleville Park.

Kick-Off & Skills Evaluation Event:

Girls 5:30–7:00 PM; Boys 6:30–8:00 PM
Participants must attend the Kick-off & Skills Evaluation Event to be placed on a team.
There is no charge to attend the Kick-off Event.

During this event players will be evaluated to be placed on teams, as well as pick up their player packet. Come and hang out with some of the PSU Men’s basketball players and enjoy the festive atmosphere. In case of bad weather, the event will be held in the South Gym of the Bryce Jordan Center on PSU campus.

Girl Scout Badge Day

Brownies come and earn your BUG BADGE! Learn the parts of an insect and what classifies these awesome critters as insects vs bugs; use field guides to identify insects, look for bug homes, examine the MMNC bug collection, and collect insects – including ones found in the stream! Please dress for the weather and wear water shoes.

Learn the basics of tennis with instruction that emphasizes forehand and backhand development, serving and volley skills.

Learn lobs, overheads and other specialty shots. Advanced playing strategies for singles and doubles are addressed.

Intro to Quickstart Tennis for Youth

These programs are designed for young children to experience tennis with age appropriate racquets, balls and court size using games and drills. This is a fun way to learn basic tennis skills, such as forehands, backhands and volleys. All equipment is provided.
