Who is this Veteran?   Paul completed Basic Training in Cherry Point, NC, and then was stationed at the Marine Barracks, at Quonset Point in Rhode Island.  Quonset Point was a US Navy installation from 1941-1974; next door was Camp Endicott in Davisville where the Navy Construction Battalions and the famous "Seabees" got their start.  The naval base was home to several aviation squadrons and a major aircraft overhaul and repair operation.  The Quonset hut was also first built at this facility.

While serving at Quonset Point, Paul met his future bride, Beverly, through a blind date.  They married in 1964, and celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary in November 2020.
