Who is this Veteran? My father, David Felkoff, is truly my American hero. He risked his life to save one of the soldiers in his unit. He carried the wounded soldier to safety. For this brave act during World War II, he received a bronze star. My father rarely talked about his experiences during the war, but he believed it was his duty to defend his country. He was an ordinary man who did extraordinary things for his country. David Felkoff gave his love freely to his family, friends, and especially his country.
