Singletrack School for Girls Mini Camp
Singletrack School for Girls summer camp is three afternoons of mountain biking fun! The time will be a mix of riding local trails, learning basic mountain biking skills, playing bike games, and getting our hands dirty with some basic bike maintenance. We will meet at Circleville Park on Tuesday, Suburban Park on Wednesday, and Harvest Fields trails on Thursday. Riders should come to camp with a bike, helmet, lots of water, and a snack. If you do not have access to a bike, we have a few available to loan for camp. Contact Beth Lee, Recreation Supervisor at blee@crcog.net for more information. Registration Opens on April 19.

Rec In The Parks Summer Camp
2020 was a successful summer for our new Rec In The Parks Summer Camp program and we are thrilled to bring it back in 2021! We have lots of fun planned for this summer, with opportunities for children, rising 1st-5th graders, to enjoy healthy and safe activities, wild and crazy games, and awesome arts and crafts, with time for lunch built-in. This is a walk-in/bike-in/drop-off program, and camp will be held outdoors every day. Rec In The Parks will be held at two parks throughout the summer,
rotating each week. For the camp weeks held at Orchard Park, campers will swim at Welch Community Pool on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Try one week or try them all!
All health and safety protocols will be enforced based on the guidelines from the CDC, the PA Dept. of Health, and the American Camp Association.

Code Wiz Virtual Summer Camps
Online coding camps with CodeWiz are now open for Summer 2021! These Summer Camps are all done virtually from the comforts of your home!

Make Your Own Roblox Game: Become a Roblox game wiz using Lua! Create versions of your fairytale universe with Roblox. Roblox studio has all the tools to make your wildest gaming imaginations a reality. In this camp, you and other passionate kids will learn how to make use of the many tools on Roblox to code terrific games, relaying your imaginative capabilities to the world. Through drag and drop techniques, you'll be creating extensions to the Roblox game while fostering your creativity and learning real-world computer coding. Coding with Minecraft: Explore, create or survive! Mine deep into the minecraft world and create the future! In this creative camp, challenge the odds, craft your own kinds of weapons and build dream worlds using code. Do this while also learning fundamental programming concepts, level design and problem-solving skills. You will make use of ready made coding blocks to create mini versions of Minecraft games. This program is available during the following weeks: June 14-18 (Program #44373) and/or July 12-16 (Program #44374)
Voice Apps for Alexa: Redefine your voice app experience! Create something completely unique that nobody has ever seen before. During this course, you’ll be equipped to create global apps for Alexa. You’ll be able to fully incorporate any new feature you can think of into your app, as Voiceflow’s drag and drop feature
will make this an absolute breeze. Your design could be the next big thing! This program is available during the following weeks: June 14-18 (Program #44375) and/or July 12-16 (Program #44376)
Make Your Own Games & Animation: Dive into the world of code by coding your own space shooter games, trivia games, music bands, beautiful computer-generated art and math simulations or tell a story! You can also use code to create science and social science projects! You will get to incorporate what you are passionate about into the programs you create! The confidence in being unique will be taught to kids and communicated through their code creations. This program is avaiable during the following weeks: June 28-July 2 (Program #43377) and/or July 26-30 (Program #43378)
Build Your Own Website: HTML is the building block of every website. Learn how to build dynamic, engaging and interactive websites of your choice with the understanding of the HTML framework. You don't need to be a pro or a crazy genius to completely figure it out. You'll be taken through the simple basics and eventually progress to the simpler cascading style sheets(CSS) and take your design up a notch using the bootstrap framework. You can build an online version of your resume or portfolio of projects that will be sure to impress! Artificial Intelligence: Artificial Intelligence will define the next generation of software solutions. Learn the basics of Al and more. Artificial Intelligence is taking the world by storm. It is an advance topic that allows programmers to teach a computer how to learn and identify patterns in every day life. This program is available during the following weeks: June 28-July 2 (Program #43381) and/or July 26-30 (Program #43382)
Soccer Shots Themed Summer Camps
Centre Region Parks & Recreation and Soccer Shots are excited to partner and provide children with an opportunity to develop their soccer skills, their character, and their creativity. Centered around a weekly theme, children are provided with fun activities that include soccer games as well as a variety of other age-appropriate learning such as crafts, team building exercises, snack time, or even reading. Children will be encouraged to participate in daily themes, and each camp will conclude with a celebration of the children’s hard work. All COVID-19 protocols will be followed.
Arctic Animals Soccer Camp: We're traveling to the Arctic! Join our enthusiastic and excited Soccer Shots staff for a fun week of curriculum, crafts and lessons that will include activities centered around the animals that call the extreme cold of the Arctic their home.

Outdoor Explorers Camp
For adventurers who wish to explore unique habitats within the Centre Region. During this exciting camp, hikers will discover birds, native plants, and waterways at various recreation areas. Great mini adventures at places you can explore with a daypack. Children should be prepared to hike on the first day and to spend each afternoon exploring different environments. Please dress for the weather. Parents are asked to drop-off and pick-up their child(ren) at different trailhead locations each day.

Bricks4Kids: Brick City Engineers Camp
This cool summer camp is all about building a city, and we need engineers to make it happen! We'll start by creating construction equipment such as bulldozers, cranes, drills, jackhammers, and trucks. Kids will use gears, axles, and other LEGO technical pieces to make motorized cars, fire engines, locomotives, and more! Then we'll use our engineering skills to build architectural models such as the Empire State Building, the Eiffel Tower, a police station, a playground, and an airport complete with helicopters and planes! Kids will also have opportunities to add their own ideas to make our city complete!

Wonders of Nature Art Camp
Join local artist Susan Nicholas Gephart to explore the natural world and to connect to the environment through outdoor painting! Young artists will use their senses to discover the wonders nature offers while applying their creativity to sketch and paint their own masterpieces. Campers will have the opportunity to work with different media including pencil sketching, watercolor, and pastels, and will leave camp with lifelong skills to continue to create beautiful pieces of art. All skill levels welcome. Teens must be able to work independently and creatively and focus on both guided and free art activities for the five-hour time period. Art & Acting with Puppets at Millbrook Marsh
Campers will play acting games, create art in several dimensions from many materials, try cool technology, learn history, write, perform, and collaborate as they share and develop their talents. Campers will be challenged to "think outside the socks" as they gain a better understanding of puppetry: past, present, and future. This week of camp we will incorporate nature into our puppet creations, games, storytelling and performance. Masks are required in all facilities and outside when physical distancing is not possible.

State College Community Theatre Academy
Centre Region Parks and Recreation is thrilled to partner with the State College Community Theatre program to offer the 2-week long SCCT Academy for the summer of 2021! At the State College Community Theatre Academy, we teach Life Skills through Stage Skills. Our goal is to teach valuable theatre skills, including acting, building character, improvisation, musical theatre, and backstage production work. We focus on building foundations and fundamentals of theatre for our younger students and enhancing skills for our older students. Our students will leave with a stronger knowledge of the craft of theatre and will learn life lessons in creativity, teamwork, focus, and communication. The skills learned throughout the Academy will be combined into an end-of-camp performance for family and friends to enjoy! Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or this will be your first time ever on stage…there’s a place for you at the Academy! Scholarships are available by contacting State College Community Theatre at office@scctonline.org. Scholarships are needs-based. If you feel you have extenuating circumstances and would qualify for a needs-based scholarship, please contact us before completing registration. PLEASE NOTE: These are two-week camps!

Knee High Naturalists Camps
For the young adventurer who is excited about getting hands-on with nature! Come to Millbrook Marsh to discover wonders of the outdoors through leader-led activities, games, songs, and unstructured nature play. Children will explore the marsh and learn about some of the animals and plants that inhabit the wetland ecosystem. Please dress for the weather and plan to get messy!
