The Centre Region Senior Center offers a wide variety of recreational activities for adults age 55+. A full calendar of events and monthly newsletters are available (below) to keep participants informed of exciting Center happenings! Centre County Van transportation to/from the center is available. To schedule a van ride, please call the Centre Region Senior Center at 231-3076 at least 24 hours in advance. We look forward to seeing you at the Center!

welcome all seniors to visit the Centre Region Senior Center.

Meals are served to seniors at 11:30 AM, Monday through Friday. To reserve your meal, please call 231-3076 by 10 AM the day before you plan to visit the Center.

  • For adults age 60 & over, a donation of $1.25 per meal is requested to help offset some of the meal cost.
  • For adults age 55-59, the lunch fee is $3.51 per meal. 

2014 CENTRE COUNTY "COST SAVING DAYS"  May 23, July 3, Aug. 29, Nov. 10, Dec. 24. 
No meals or van transportation to the Senior Center will be available on these County Cost Savings Days. However, the Center will be typically be staffed for participants and for prearranged activities.

BowlingBowling"BOWL-LIGAN" Centre Region Senior Center Fundraiser
on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014
at the Bellefonte Lanes. Sign-in at noon, bowl from 12:30-2:30 PM.
Open to bowlers of all ages! Bring the whole family! Click HERE for more event info.

EVENT REPORT: The youngest bowler was 12 years old and the oldest bowler was 86 years young.
The event brought out a total of 40 bowlers and raised $250 for senior center programs.

Senior Center Policies:

The Second Winds Jazz Band

JazzThe Second Winds Jazz Band consists of 10 Centre County musicians with a combined age of 770 years! The band, originally a spin-off of the Senior Center Dance Band, is celebrating their second decade of playing music and entertaining folks across the community. The Bandcurrently practices at the Centre Region Senior Center and plays music from all eras, covering songs from the 1920’s to today. Gigs include a mix of swing, big band, jazz, pop and rock with an occasional Latin, polka, blues and/or film tune thrown in for good measure! Their performances are open to the public, and the Band invites you to attend!

Calling All Crafters

  • The Senior Center is looking for craft donations for the Senior Center Crafter Boutique. We welcome finished projects and supply donations; please drop off your donation during regular center hours! 
  • Are your creative and enjoy teaching others? Instructors are wanted for a variety of programs included knitting, crocheting, art, woodworking and more. Interested individuals are asked to call the Center at (814) 231-3076.
