PARKING COUPON POLICY

          During 2002 the COG agreed to continue the parking coupons for Senior Center participants.

1.        The COG authorized the following procedures to be managed by the Senior Center Director:

- Noontime meal participants are eligible for up to 2 hours of free parking coupons per day. We are unable to provide coupons to senior center “program” participants (without participation in the noontime meal).

- Volunteers who work on special, time-consuming projects (such as leading a program, special cleaning and craft projects, etc.) will receive coupons for every hour that they are volunteering at the senior center.

- Noontime meal participants who also provide volunteer meal-service assistance to the senior center will be eligible for up to 3 hours of free parking coupons per day.

2.          The Senior Center (1) receives parking coupons from State College Borough in lieu of the three free parking spaces (formerly provided) and (2) purchases additional coupons as needed.  For those purchases, State College Borough provides a reduced parking fee of 50 cents per hour for each 1 hour coupon (confirmed as of 2 Dec 08).
