The purpose of the Centre County Senior Games is to encourage older adults of all abilities to engage in health promoting sports activities and to promote the pleasures of being physically active.
$5 Registration fee includes T-shirt, any events & luncheon.

RULES FOR EVENTS

For future reference, check the boxes of your chosen events. Where applicable, the following age categories will be used:
50-59, 60-64, 65-69,70-74,75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90+

Note new format: The most points scored in 1 minute wins. (Competitors must use basketballs provided.) 1 pt for layups, 2 pts for shots outside the foul lanes, 3pts for foul shots.

❒            BOCCE                                           #53940

The number of entrants will determine the type of tournament. Rain date, June 12, same time.

❒            BOWLING #53913, 53914, 53915, 53916    Chalmer Wheland, Chairperson `692-8544.

$1.00 per game, individuals bowl three games, singles only. Sign -in at 12:00, bowling begins at 12:30. Total pinfall determines winners. No limit on number of houses you can bowl at, but each player must indicate at registration the site where the scores will count.

Men & Women 18 and 9 Hole Championships (pending sufficient registration) at FREESTONE GOLF COURSE. Tee times will start at 7:30 am and are assigned prior to the event (notification by phone). All area clubs and independent golfers are welcome. Certified handicaps will be used. Fees include cart and green fees: $16 for 9 holes; $27 for 18 holes (payable at the course on the day of the event). Special requests for player partners will be honored where possible.

❒            SOFTBALL THROW                   #53928

A maximum of three throws will be allowed with the best two throws being recorded. Distance will be measured from the center point on the throwing line to the point of impact. Regulation softballs provided

International Table Tennis rules will apply. The number of entrants will determine the type of tournament used. Paddles and balls will be supplied. Entrants may bring their own paddle.

❒           WALK - 1 MILE                            #53920

Participants will be timed for 1 mile walk. Individual times will be used to determine places. Judges will enforce the rule that one foot shall be in contact with the ground at all times. Running will disqualify an entrant. This is the traditional outdoor event.

❒            WALK - INDOOR                         #53930

This is a non-competitive, non-award event in which participants walk laps in the school hallway. It is intended for people who need an easier format and an air-conditioned environment.

❒            WATER VOLLEYBALL            #53921                   

The number of registrants will determine the format at the Bellefonte Area YMCA.

PLEASE NOTE:

• T-shirts & awards unclaimed after the June 25 luncheon may be picked up at the Centre Region Senior Center, 131 S. Fraser Street.

• CRPR or other organizations may take photographs and/or other moving or still images of these events, and may use those images in promotional and informational materials.
