“Start Smart” Sports Programs
for Youth & Parent

The Start Smart programs are offered as a popular and unique way for parent/guardians to play with their child while learning basic skills involved with a sport. Each child registration includes one parent/guardian, who must attend each class with the child (no exceptions). Only the child must register; it is not necessary for the parent/guardian to r egister - only to attend and participate in each class with the youngster.
 “Start Smart” SOCCER Program 3-5 Year Olds
A developmentally appropriate introductory soccer program for children (ages 3-5). Parent/guardian participation is required to work one on one with your child while spending quality time together. The program prepares children for organized soccer in a fun, non-threatening environment. Age appropriate equipment from Kwik Goals and Koosh is used to teach kicking, dribbling, trapping, throw-ins & agility. Fee includes one child with one adult.

 “Start Smart” BASKETBALL Program 3-5 Year Olds
This program teaches children ages 3-5 the basic motor skills necessary to play organized basketball while they work one on one and spend quality time with a parent/guardian. The program focuses on dribbling/ball handling, passing/catching, shooting and agility without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Fee includes one child with one adult.

“Start Smart” GOLF Program 5-7 Year Olds
Start Smart Golf is a developmentally appropriate introductory golf program for children (ages 5-7). It is a parent/guardian participation program for young children who have never played golf. Start Smart Golf teaches parents how to introduce their child to golf using fun and age-appropriate equipment from SNAG®.

“Start Smart” FLAG FOOTBALL Program 5-7 Year Olds
Start Smart Football teaches children ages 5-7 the basic motor skills necessary to play organized flag football. Parent/guardian participation is required to work one on one with your child while spending quality time together. Participants will work on skills such as catching, throwing, kicking/punting, and running agility without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt.
