Each KIDVenture Day Camp location is staffed with leaders who have been selected because of their experience, enthusiasm and desire to work with youth. Your child will be assigned to one of these leaders. In addition, a site supervisor is also located at the camp site and oversees the daily operation of the program. Please feel free to discuss any questions or concerns you may have with your child’s leader or site supervisor.
Each week of camp will have a theme and a wide variety of fantastic activities will be planned accordingly. Activities may include special events, games, crafts, swimming, field trips, and a weekly Counselor Surprise! Weekly program plans will be posted at the site each week so parents and campers can see what is planned for the week. In addition, a weekly newsletter containing important program information will be provided for your child to take home regarding activities and weekly field trip information
First Time/New Campers
If your child is new or is having any difficulties adjusting, please let the staff or Supervisor know. It can make a significant difference in their day if we can start them off on a good note. Let's work together to make sure your child has an amazing experience.
Most activities will be held outdoors, so please dress your child appropriately. Loads of sunscreen & closed-toed shoes are highly recommended, as well as a raincoat in case of rain. We try to apply/reapply sunscreen each afternoon. In case of severe inclement weather activities will be moved indoors. To help your camper come home with all of his/her belongings each day, please pack all items in a backpack or bag that they are able to carry.
Children who are sick will not be permitted to attend camp. If your child becomes ill while at camp, parents (or the emergency contact person) will be notified and expected to pick up their child in a timely manner. When appropriate, a doctor’s letter may be required for your child to return to camp. Staff are not permitted to administer any type of medication.
