Summer Camps

Staff

Each Agency Summer Camp location is staffed with leaders who have been selected because of their experience, enthusiasm, and desire to work with youth. Your child will be assigned to one of these leaders. In addition, a supervisor/coordinator is also located at the camp site and oversees the daily operation of the program. Please feel free to discuss any questions or concerns you may have with your child’s leader or site supervisor.

First Time/New Campers

If your child is new or is having any difficulties adjusting, please let the staff know. It can make a significant difference in their day if we can start them off on a good note. Let's work together to make sure your child has an amazing experience.  If your camper has a student support during the school year, you may want to consider providing that same student support through summer camp.  Please contact the Agency to discuss further so that we can ensure a very positive experience for your camper!

Camp Attire

Most activities will be held outdoors, so please dress your child appropriately. Loads of sunscreen and closed-toed shoes are highly recommended, as well as a raincoat in case of rain. All personal items need to be labeled as many kids have similar garments and items.  We try to apply/reapply sunscreen each afternoon.  To help your camper come home with all his/her belongings each day, please pack all items in a backpack or bag that they can carry.

Inclement Weather

Each of the camps will have a designated rain location that they will move to, and will be carefully monitored in this weather location.  In case of severe inclement weather activities will be moved to a safe location.  Parents will be contacted if weather causes camp to be cancelled.  Each camp will let parents know their method of communication.

Health & Wellness

Children who are sick will not be permitted to attend camp. If your child becomes ill while at camp, parents (or the emergency contact person) will be notified and are expected to pick-up their child in a timely manner. When appropriate, a doctor’s letter may be required for your child to return to camp. Staff are not permitted to administer any type of medication(s).

Cancellation/Refund

Summer Camp registration refunds must be requested fourteen (14) days in advance of the program start date to be considered.  If the request is made fourteen (14) days or more in advance of the program start date, a refund will be provided minus a $20 administration fee.  If a summer camp refund is requested less than fourteen (14) days in advance of the program start date, a refund will be provided ONLY if the spot can be filled and minus a $20 administration fee.
