This schedule outlines the opporuntities for LAP SWIMMING at Park Forest Pool and the High School Natatorium. Since Welch Pool will not open in 2010 due to construction (follow the Welch Pool construction HERE), the following actions have been taken by the Recreation Authority to maximize the safe use of Park
Forest Pool:
- Expanded the rental of the High School Natatorium (for the Welch Pool swim team practices, lessons, camp swims, lap swims, general swims). The full HS Natatorium summer schedule is available HERE.
- Adult Lap Swim times at Park Forest Pool have been expanded on Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays (for 2010, 10 AM-Noon).
- For the first time, Park Forest Pool will open on Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend.
- The Swim Meet Schedule at Park Forest Pool will be optimized to minimize pool closures.
- Reduced the admission discount and limited the number of “Group Admissions” to one group (max. group size of 35) per 2-hour period.

Regular pool admission fees apply, including a PF Pool Season Pass. NOTE: the Adult Lap Swim at Park Forest Pool on Sat., July 17 and Sat., July 31 will not be held due to special swim meets. |

* Pending the final school schedule due to snow make-up days and the Fall school calendar (when finalized). The current last full school day is Friday, June 11, with AM-only days on June 14 & 15 (on which the pools will open at noon pending staff availability). |
• The weekday lunchtime Adult Lap Swim (for age 16+) will start on the first day of the Regular Season Weekday Schedule. NOTE: the Adult Lap Swim at Park Forest Pool on Sat., July 17 and Sat., July 31 will not be held due to special swim meets.
• The Evening Lap Swim (for age 11+) will be available during the Preseason, School Day & Regular Season Schedules, as shown above.
• At Park Forest Pook, staff will again strive to maintain at least one lane line during all general swims, except during high-visit periods (weekday afternoons). |
