 Funding assistance for this $3.2 million project is being provided by the long-term cooperation of the five municipalities of the Authority, including a $350,000 grant from the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resouces, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation, Community Conservation Partnership Program.
Tax-deductible contributions to the "CRPR Gifts-For-Parks Program" may also be made to the Authority in order to further enhance the renewed Park Forest Pool.
Park Forest Pool closed for the season at 8PM on Sun., 3 Aug 08 - at which time the final pool draining began. CRPR staff then vacated and "cleaned out" the site on Monday, 4 Aug 08. The contractors were authorized to mobilize on-site on Tuesday, 5 Aug 08.

Sunday 3 Aug 08 was PARK FOREST POOL DAY with free admission all day. Also, a special "Last Splash" Ceremony was held at 6:00 PM. Please check out the ceremony program HERE (PDF).
A group of swimmers enjoys a last swim in the "old" Park Forest Pool just after the 6:00 PM "Last Splash Ceremony."
The pools were drained starting at 8 PM that day and CRPR started to remove operational items for storage.
