Centre Region Parks & Recreation serves as the official parks & recreation department for five municipalities:
· Borough of State College
· Township of College
· Township of Harris
· Township of Ferguson
· Township of Patton

Three of those municipalities have organized citizen advisory committees with volunteer appointees. One member of each group also serves as that municipality's representative on the Centre Region Parks & Recreation Board / Centre Regional Recreation Authority (as indicated below).

2008 College Township Parks & Recreation Committee

The Parks and Recreation Committee is made up of nine members. Members hold office for terms of five years. The members are volunteer citizens, appointed by Council and must reside in the Township. The committee holds seven regularly-scheduled meetings annually (January, March, May, June, September, October, November).  Meetings are normally held on the third Monday at 7:00 p.m.  The committee provides advice to Council regarding the maintenance and development of parkland owned by the municipality. Parks and Recreation annually produces a five-year development plan for existing parks. The objective is to provide recreational and park setting opportunities for groups throughout the year.

2008 Harris Township Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee

The Harris Township Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee meets every 3rd Wednesday at 7:00 PM, unless otherwise noted, at the Harris Township Building.

2008 Patton Township Recreation Advisory Committee

During 2008, the committee will meet on the dates below at 7:30 pm at the Patton Township building, except for the Park Tours:
