2009 Remembrance Tree Planting
Roster
A space is waiting (in a local park and in
the table below)
for the Remembrance Tree
you may donate.
The Fall 2008 planting donation cut-off date wa 15 Sep 08.
The Spring 2009 planting donation cut-off
date is 15 Feb 09.
Two categories of donations are available:
Category
1:
$240 for a tree
with a 1.5-inch caliper. |
Category
2:
$350 for a tree
with a 2.5-inch caliper. |
Please
note that certain species and sizes, if specified
by the donor,
will increase the donation amount based upon the increased purchase
price from the commercial nursery. |
In
the case of young trees, caliper is the diameter
of the tree measured six inches above ground
level. Depending on the species, the trees
vary in height from 6'-10'. |
-
Although the trees will be planted
only in the spring or fall, they may be ordered at any
time.
-
Payments must be received prior
to February 15 for spring planting and prior to September
15 for fall planting. (Some species, such as oaks,
may not tolerate fall planting and therefore may only be
planted in the spring.)
-
The trees will be planted by
the Arborist in State College Borough and by Centre Region Parks & Recreation
staff in the townships.
The trees listed below reflect donations
made to date for 2009 plantings (as of 12 Sep 08).
