CRPR Gift BenchesCRPR Gift Bench Roster

Updated 21 Nov 2011

As part of the Gifts-For-Parks Program, CRPR is pleased to recognize the many donors of Gift Benches in the municipal parks. The agency-standard park bench is a commercial-grade, 6' long park bench, made in Mifflintown, PA of recycled plastic lumber with a steel frame that is installed in concrete footers (Dumor Bench #138-60PL). Maintenance of each bench is then provided by CRPR staff.

A donation of $700 enables the purchase and installation of the bench along with a cast bronze plaque (2.5" x 8" to include defined wording & format) inset flush with the bench backrest. The parksite, location and plaque text is finalized in cooperation with agency staff.

Donations to the CRPR Gifts-For-Parks program are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. A timeframe of 3-4 month after the donation is necessary to obtain and install each bench with the custom plaque. The wording on the cast bronze bench plaque is limited to one of two standard formats; expanded wording for the website description (below) may be requested by the donors.

Interested donors are invited to contact the CRPR office at (814) 231-3071. A donation for a park bench may also be combined with the Remembrance Tree program.
