- Millbrook Marsh Nature Center Advisory Committee: Kathy Matason

- The COG Ad Hoc Regional Park Committee continues to meet monthly. The committee has asked each municipality to officially comment on the proposed agreement. Detailed discussions will be continued at their next meeting on Th 20 Apr 06, 12:15 PM, COG Bldg. Our thanks to Mr. Harpster for representing the Board at these meetings each month.

In July 2003 the Authority authorized an Exchange-of-Services Agreement (for 5 years) for our mowing services for the use of their indoor storage space at Park Crest Farm (beside Tudek Park). Staff recommends that CRRA authorize this request to extend the area of mowing services until the house renovation is complete and a new tenant moves in, but for no longer than the 2006 growing season. 

VIII.   OLD BUSINESS 

• Parl Forest Pool Master Plan: Mr. Woodhead

- The consultant agreements have been officially approved by PA DCNR.
- The land survey has been completed by Nittany Engineering Inc. and the survey plan will be reviewed at the meeting.
- A draft “Process / Schedule” is attached for Board review & discussion. The two consultants are also reviewing this plan, and their comments will be here in time for discussion at this meeting.(Attachment #8)
- Anne Nixon has resigned from Counsilman Hunsaker Associates (to accept a position as a P&R Director), however our project will now be led by Mr. Scott Hunsaker, the principal of the firm.

IX.      NEW BUSINESS

• Grant Application to Central PA Convention & Visitor’s Bureau: Consider action on Resolution #1-2006, which officially authorizes a grant application (previously submitted) of $7,500 in support of the Capital Campaign for Millbrook Marsh Nature Center.(Attachment #9) (Action)

• Harris Township Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee: Amy Farkas, Township Manager, Deb Ellis, Chair, and Bruce Lord, member, requested to address the Board regarding a P&R Needs Assessment. The initial staff response to the inquiry for a P&R Comprehensive / Strategic Plan is attached.  (Attachment #10)
