- Promote the benefits and availability of local recreation opportunities in parks and programs.

- Provide effective, efficient, and safe program & facility operations (to include all aspects of the agency).

- Provide a smooth transition from the in-office SportsLog database to the Internet-based eTrak Plus system to permit direct transactions by customers.

- Search & apply for available grants for improvements, operations, and for capital projects (re: regional and municipal projects).

- Develop a Memorandum of Understanding with SCASD regarding group scheduling on the leased sites (for Fogleman & the elem. school ballfields).

- Work to improve the dialog with SCASD in matters related to the uses of the schools and of municipal facilities (processes for programs & facilities).

- Complete work with the COG Ad Hoc Regional Park Committee about “regional” P&R operations.

- Increase program participation and net revenue. Add new programs and special events as resources & opportunities permit.

- Increase effectiveness of agency marketing, including improvements to the CRPR Leisure Guide.

- Develop and implement a League Registration / Payment Policy (for adult sport league teams).

- Refine and expand the “Programs Partner” policy for working with community organizations.

- Create and implement optional e-mail newsletters for current program participants.

- Create evaluations for programs, events and publicity procedures.

- Continue to implement the Youth Sports Renewal Plan to offset the youth leagues.

- Explore new opportunities for Fitness classes and accommodate new customers and the waiting lists.

- Continue to expand the Adult Leagues to accommodate the growing interest in those programs; develop & propose a League Payment Process.

- Continue to operate safe, clean & fun pools and programs.

- Explore and implement new and/or updated program ideas & special events for aquatics, including ways to increase revenue and attendance & control expenditures to recover from the ‘04 & ‘05 revenue shortfalls.

Pool Renewals:
- For Park Forest Pool, develop the Master Site Plan and then submit a grant application in September 2006 for 2007 construction assistance.
- For the Welch Pool site, (pending state grant approval) select an Aquatics Consultant and begin development of that Master Site Plan.

- Continue to search for ways to improve the promotion of programs offered at the (now-expanded) Senior Center.

- Initiate a new walking program and promote wellness programs suitable for seniors of varied ages and ability levels.

- Expand program offerings through new chartered bus trips.

- Develop new financially self-supporting programs, and seek Program Partners and donations to reduce municipal costs.

- Maximize the effectiveness of CRPR maintenance services; reduce contracted equipment and repair costs by doing more repairs /maintenance in-house.

- Finish the (almost complete) renovation of 5 leased ballfields at 3 SCASD elementary schools.

- Work with the municipalities on park improvements, playground safety projects, new park developments.

- Pending a grant extension beyond June, continue to work with the PCC program for park projects.

- Integrate the 2006 addition of Marjorie Mae Park and improve the park for more public uses.

- Pending approval of the state grant application, develop a Master Site Plan for the Oak Hall tract.

- Pending approval of the state grant, proceed with the acquisition of the 75-acre Whitehall Road tract for a “regional park.”

Nature
Center

- Continue to develop and promote new programs, group programs & special events to increase visibility and visitations by residents and tourists.

- Focus on extending group services to more (1) charter schools, (2) church schools, and (3) homeschool groups.

- Explore options to begin offering training and development opportunities for area school teachers related to PA State Environment & Ecology Standards.

- Continue to promote facility rentals (barn & pavilion) by groups.

- Continue to seek and train volunteers, program or project partners, interns, donations & grant funds.

- Complete grant requirements for Altrusa and Visitor’s Bureau grants. Explore other grant opportunities.

- Develop, purchase, and install property signs (interpretive, regulatory and informational).

Capital Campaign:
- Continue developing the campaign and soliciting donors (private phase, then public phase); seek release of state funds.
- Review staff structure in view of Capital Campaign efforts and increased program registrations.
- Construct the approved parking areas with landscape plantings & connecting pathways.
- Complete Wetland Laboratory construction as donations permit, develop fee policy and introduce Wetlab programs.
