- Implement a Youth Sports Parent Education Program in conjunction with
other local sport organizations.
- Confirm that all adult leagues are financially self-supporting
- Implement a Team Sponsor Policy for youth teams.
- Revitalize the CRPR Youth Soccer program, perhaps in cooperation with
Centre Soccer Assn.
- Add new programs and special events as resources permit. |

Per pending agreement, renovate and maintain 5 ballfields
at 3 SCASD elementary schools.
- Incorporate the new municipal park areas into regional maintenance during
2002 (Thompson Woods Preserve, improvements at Fairbrook Park, official
opening of Haugh Tract Park).
- Work with College Twp. and State College Borough on a Management Plan
for Thompson Woods preserve. |

Proceed with boardwalk construction project.
- Develop and offer new programs; improve publicity for all programs and
facility improvements.
- Continue with the EPA Wetlands Grant.
- Parking lots construction: seek benefactor and proceed.
- PA. Conservation Corps grant projects (for 1 year starting July 1, if
approved by state).
- Build two sun shelters and picnic pavilion. Renovate garage to office/library
area.
- Finalize rules via municipal ordinance and install proper signage throughout.

- Continue promotion of the Senior Citizen Club and CALL programs.

With the addition of a 3rd secretary, evaluate
and restructure front-office operations.
- Continue to promote donations, sponsorships, private funding, park partners,
and gifts to benefit CRPR facilities, leagues, & programs (including
the nature center and the Remembrance Tree program).
- Continue website operations and promotion of the website.
- When available from SportsLog, evaluate options and costs for internet
transactions by customers.
- Assist municipal staffs with regard to grant applications for municipal
park developments and improvements. |
Regional
Issues |

Explore the function, implications, and development of
a Regional Park Plan (to prioritize municipal grant requests
and to fund acquisitions and capital improvements in "regional" parks).
- Continue discussions on a Regional Sport Field Facility in cooperation
with COG, PSU, SCASD, community groups, and potential sponsors (including
the COG ad hoc Recreation Committee and
the CRPR Board Assessment Project).
This effort should include the Aquatics Feasibility Study recommendations.
- Search and apply for available grants for operations & improvements,
as well as for regional capital projects. |
