Welcome to the Centre Region Active Adult Center. We have a very active Center with over 500 participants throughout the year and we hope to see you there soon!  The Centre Region Active Adult Center, formerly known as the Centre Region Senior Center, is located in the Nittany Mall, near Entrance A, and is open to adults, ages 55 and over.  The Center offers a wide variety of classes, activities, screenings, and events that suit almost any lifestyle. Whether you prefer a morning of line dancing followed by a meal at the Center, or a game of Bridge and a cup of coffee, the Center is sure to have something for you to enjoy!

The Centre Region Active Adult Center is operated by the Centre Region Parks and Recreation Authority, and supported financially through the Centre Region Council of Governments and the Centre County Office of Aging.  The Centre Region Active Adult Center is one of six senior centers in Centre County.  Through the Center's relationship with the County, the Center is supported programatically and financially, and the Center also must meet and maintain certain standards and protocols for its services to the participants.  The Centre County Office of Aging also provides additional resources, coordinates the county-wide meal and transportation programs, and assists in a myriad of other ways.

Our goal at the Centre Region Active Adult Center is to promote healthy aging through our many recreational activities and health forums as well as life-long learning through a variety of classes and social interaction. The Center's normal operating hours are  9 AM-3 PM, Monday-Friday; on occasion, there are some additional programming opportunities in the evenings and weekends.
