2008 END-OF-SEASON PROGRAM SUMMARY

❀ During 2008, the nature center hosted 9,706 program visits, a 13% increase from 2007, which demonstrates the
continued popularity of programs with the seasonal facilities.
❀ This count includes 3,591 visitors from six different school districts (see table) including community groups, scout
groups, charter schools, etc.
❀ 106 volunteers contributed a total of 1,710 hours during 2008 at a value of $23,940 (using a value of $14/hr), an
increase from 93 volunteers at $13,916 in 2007. This increase is largely due to the services of the MMNC Advisory
Committee and two PSU RPTM event planning classes.
