MILLBROOK MARSH NATURE CENTER
2007 END-OF-SEASON PROGRAM SUMMARY
2007 Seasonal Operation Dates: 01 Feb through 05 Nov
• During 2007, the nature center hosted 8,622 program
visits, a 24% increase from 2006, which demonstrates the
continued popularity of programs despite the seasonal
facilities. This count includes 3,387 children visiting from
scout groups, charter schools, and five different school
districts.
• For 2007, a Seasonal Program Coordinator was hired for
9-months to teach additional programs and be on-site to
oversee programs / staff during activities. This new position
was instrumental in the increased attendance and revenue
from 2007. Part-time seasonal staff (5 in Spring, 4 in Fall)
plus a Summer Intern were engaged to provide staff-guided
group programs and family programs during the year.
